In my experience as a forex trader, confirming a broker’s regulatory status is one of the most important steps before even considering opening an account. When I investigated BGC, I found clear indications that the firm is regulated by recognized financial authorities, specifically the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in the United Kingdom and the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) in South Korea. These are well-established regulators, and having oversight from such organizations is generally positive, as it means the broker must adhere to specific operational and risk management standards. However, I approach even regulated brokers with caution, especially when conflicting details arise. In BGC’s case, although regulatory licenses are apparently in place, there are noticeable inconsistencies—such as the documented instances where traders reported trouble verifying BGC’s actual office locations or dealing with unresponsive customer service. For me, these red flags serve as reminders that regulatory status, while necessary, is not the only criterion for safety and trust in the forex industry. Ultimately, I always verify licenses directly with official regulatory databases and pay attention to user reports before fully committing my capital.
