From my personal experience with LINE FX and after careful review of the details, I can confirm that LINE FX does not charge a separate commission per lot, even on what might be considered their most competitive spread accounts. Instead, all trading costs are embedded within the spread itself. For the major pair EUR/USD, during core hours, the fixed spread is quoted as low as 0.3 pips, while it can be wider at other times. This means there is no explicit commission as you might find with some ECN or raw spread brokers. For me, this commission-free model provided a more straightforward calculation of my trading costs, and I appreciated not having to factor in both a spread and a per-lot fee for each trade. However, it is important to be cautious and recognize that while the absence of direct commission can simplify trading, the spread still defines your real cost and can widen significantly outside of the core trading period. For traders like myself who utilize scalp or high-frequency strategies, this potential for variable and sometimes wide spreads is an essential consideration. Additionally, the broker’s regulatory standing in Japan does provide me with some reassurance about their overall legitimacy and operational transparency, which I regard as crucial for any trading account where my own capital is at risk.
