Investing.com - Pure Storage-Aktien (NYSE:PSTG) rasten am Mittwoch um 14 % in die Höhe. Das Technologie-Unternehmen konnte seinen Umsatz im dritten Quartal gegenüber dem Vorjahreszeitraum um 37 % steigern und erhöhte daraufhin erneut seine Prognose.
Der Anbieter von Storage-as-a-Service in einer Multi-Cloud-Welt erwartet nun für das laufende Geschäftsjahr, das am 31. Januar endet, einen Umsatz von 2,1 Milliarden US-Dollar, ein Anstieg von rund 25 % gegenüber den 1,68 Milliarden US-Dollar des Vorjahres. Im August hatte Pure Storage noch mit einem Umsatz von 2,04 Milliarden US-Dollar gerechnet.
Die Zahl der Neukunden stieg im dritten Quartal um rund 12 % und lag Ende Oktober bei mehr als 9 500 Kunden.
Im abgelaufenen Quartal erzielte das Unternehmen jährlich wiederkehrende Umsätze aus Abonnements in Höhe von 788 Millionen US-Dollar. Das stellt ein Wachstum von 30 % dar. Der ARR aus Abonnements ist eine wichtige betriebswirtschaftliche Kennzahl, die sich auf den gesamten annualisierten Vertragswert aller aktiven Abo-Verträge am letzten Tag des Quartals bezieht.
Die so genannten Remaining Performance Obligations (RPO), also die verbleibenden Leistungsverpflichtungen des Unternehmens, die einen Rückschluss auf die zu erwartenden Einnahmen zulassen, stiegen um 27 % auf 1,24 Milliarden US-Dollar.
Der bereinigte Gewinn je Aktie lag mit 22 Cents bei einem Umsatz von 563 Millionen Dollar im dritten Quartal deutlich über den Schätzungen.
