Reason for this visit

Belize is a very suitable jurisdiction for offshore activities and its legislation has been adapted to the needs of investors. However, most types of activities require special permission from the authorities. The license is issued by the country's international commission in order to regulate the whole financial sector. As a result, for various financial services (foreign exchange, trust management, currency exchange, credit operations, financial and advisory services, etc.), the issuance procedure is practically the same. On-site visit

This time the survey team went to Belize to visit the foreign exchange dealer FBS as planned. The survey address is 2118 Guava Street, Belama Phase 1, P.O.Box 1920, Belize City, Belize, C.A.

The survey personnel came to the destination of this survey according to the above address. They arrived at a three-storey single-block building located in a middle-income residential area in Belize City. The building is located inside a sealed fence, and the gate is also locked. After waiting for a long time, no security personnel appeared, so the survey personnel could not enter. There is a large sign outside the building fence, called "Alpha Business Centre", which lists several business service companies. The survey personnel did not find the name of the trader “FBS” on the water sign. They called one of the listed companies, and found that this building was the registered company and mailing address of their law firm. Therefore, the survey personnel confirmed that the trader FBS does not have an office here.

Conclusion

The investigators went to Belize to visit the foreign exchange dealer FBS as planned, but did not find the dealer's office at its publicly displayed business address. The dealer may have just registered a company at this address without a real business venue. Please choose this dealer carefully.
