Die Krise bei MAN geht weiter. Wie die Nachrichtenagentur Reuters via „Handelsblatt berichtet, muss MAN-Chef Andreas Tostmann gehen. Bei MAN, das zur Volkswagen-Tocher Traton gehört, soll der ehemalige Scania-Manager Alexander Vlaskamp den Chefposten übernehmen. Der Aufsichtsrat muss dem jedoch zuerst zustimmen.
Seit Jahren steckt MAN in einer finanziellen Krise, strich bereits tausende Stellen und war jüngst in mehrere Skandale verwickelt. Jetzt kommt ein Wechsel an der Spitze. Laut Traton-Chef Christian Levin, könne Vlaskamp seinen internationalen Erfahrungsschatz mit dem Wissen um die Effizienz der Modularisierung verbinden, berichtet Reuters. „Davon wird nicht nur MAN profitieren, sondern die gesamte Traton Group, so Levin.

MAN hatte sich zuletzt Volkswagen-intern unbeliebt gemacht. So kündigte MAN den Beschäftigungs- und Standortsicherungsvertrag, um dem Betriebsrat Druck zu machen. Dies „glich einer Kriegerklärung, wie Business Insider zuvor berichtete. Der Wechsel kommt zu einem Zeitpunkt, an dem MAN komplett umstrukturiert wird, ganze 3500 Stellen sollen wegfallen. Ziel ist eine Rendite von acht Prozent – ein Ziel, das noch längst nicht in Reichweite ist.
Führungswechsel scheinen bei MAN und Traton inzwischen fast die Norm. Erst Ende August hatte der ehemalige Betriebsratschef, Athanasios Stimoniaris, das Unternehmen „aus persönlichen Gründen verlassen. Auch der Personalchef Martin Rabe und der Aufsichtsratsvorsitzende von MAN und Vorstandschef der VW-Lkw-Holding Traton, Matthias Gründler, verließen jüngst das Unternehmen, wie Business Insider berichtete. Christian Levin ist also selbst noch neu an der Spitze von Traton. Seine größte Aufgabe ist es, laut Reuters, eine bessere Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Traton-Marken Navistar, MAN und Scania zu erzielen.
